I began studying Shadow Yoga with John Evans and Karen Watson at Islington Yoga in 2000, while I was living in the UK. I found myself responding to the rhythm of the movements immediately, and I was drawn into the practice facilitated with deep breathing. My heart started to open towards the wonders that Shadow Yoga brought in to my life. Not only did I experience major health benefits but also a connection to my inner world started to unfold noticeably.
With the profound knowledge of and the great support from both of my teachers, I completed a two-year teacher training course in 2004, and was certified as a Hatha yoga teacher. My teaching experience of Shadow Yoga started in the UK in 2004, then from Japan to NZ.
Meanwhile, my yoga journey took me across oceans to participate in the Shadow Yoga workshops of founder, Shandor Remete, and co-founder/director, Emma Balnaves. My study still continues today by participating in their workshops.
